![]() I’m directed by the next quest to get to a ship and find the crew, at this point when I go to the section I can see lots of other players, the first part of the tutorial was just me. Killing those completes novice adventure on the destiny board which is the centre of the board and you then get a bit of a tutorial on the destiny boards which explains it is full of nodes and what they show, I never actually knew what to call them, I used to think of them as quests to complete but nodes sounds better. I now need to kill those enemies on the bridge, previously when I started the game I just had to attack a dummy to learn to use skills, it’s much better to have actual enemies to kill. Looking at my original post it seemed that I didn’t realise I needed to use a skill to complete a quest as nothing was clear first time around. The next quest is about crafting a sword, equipping it and selecting a spell which seems helpful for new players. ![]() I need 6 of each but a nice tip pops up saying how to gather and then white circles appear around the resources making it easy to find. This is the same as last time as it’s gather some logs and some stone. Now comes the quest to gather mats as I need a weapon to kill the enemies on the bridge. Going back down the lighthouse also gives a tip on using the short cut F to use the spell on your boots to sprint. I presume this quest is to get people used to moving around. When doing the quest there are little white circles that appear directing you to move into them to complete each part of the quest. This new tutorial seems to have proper quests as I’m given a quest to climb the lighthouse, loom for a ship, check for enemies and then return the quest giver. Previously the quests were like gather 3 logs, then gather 3 stones, then skinning and so on where you completed “quests” according to things on the destiny board. This is different to when first released as there was no quest givers just a quest on the right of the screen (I only know this by reading my original blog post to see the differences). Once in I’ve started off in an area called The Lighthouse with a message on how to move and then a quest to get off the beach, once off the beach there is a quest giver to talk to like on standard MMOs with a ? over his head. I suppose alts aren’t really needed if you can learn everything on one character. Also I thought I had 6 days premium unless premium is per character and not per account which would make it an expensive game for playing with multiple alts. I wonder if that’s because the server is full or a dupe to get people to pay for premium. I went ahead and ticked the option, a tutorial will be good to help jog my memory of what I need to do.īefore I could even get in I was put into a queue, placed at 125 but if I was premium I’d be placed number 2. The first thing I noticed which I think is new is that after creating a character there is an option to tick to play a tutorial or not, handy for new players but veterans can skip it when creating an alt. I decided that I would need to start a new character to get to know the game again and then I can go back onto my old character once I hopefully have an idea of what to do. I played when it first released in 2017 but that didn’t last long for whatever reason, I think I just moved on when there were too many issues preventing me playing the game. ![]() ![]() As previously mentioned I’m giving Albion Online another try.
